Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci met while working on the 2006 movie The Devil Wears Prada and they later became real-life family members!
For those who don’t know, Stanley is married to Emily‘s older sister Felicity Blunt.
Stanley‘s first wife, Kate Spath-Tucci, sadly passed away from cancer in 2009 and Emily later set him up with her sister.
In an interview from a few years ago, Stanley revealed that he almost broke up with Felicity shortly after they started dating.
“I was afraid to get into a relationship and I kept trying to break it off because I am 21 years older than she is and I didn’t want to feel old for the rest of my life,” Stanley admitted on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs podcast. “But I knew this was an incredibly special person.”
After Kate‘s death, Stanley reconnected with Felicity at Emily and John Krasinski‘s wedding in 2010.
After tying the knot in 2012, Stanley and Felicity welcomed son Matteo, 11, and daughter Emilia, 8. He also has three adult children from his first marriage.
“Felicity has been so incredible taking on a widower and three children whose mother died. That’s a huge thing, at a very young age too,” Stanley shared. “If anybody made things better for all of us, it’s her. She’s the one.”
The whole family was together for Stanley and Emily‘s joint Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony!
