Protests in Iran subside after crackdown that left more than 2,000 dead, rights group says

Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation in Iran in separate calls this Friday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and said that Moscow is willing to mediate the situation in the region, according to the Kremlin.
