President Lula reformulated the meeting he was organizing with Congress leaders scheduled for this Wednesday (4).
At first, Lula will only receive the president of the Chamber, Hugo Motta, and the leaders of the House’s allied base. A celebration dinner will be held at the Official Residence of Granja do Torto, in Brasília.
According to sources, after Carnival, the head of the Executive will hold a similar get-together with the president of the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre, and parliamentarians from the House.
The meeting was organized by the Minister of the Institutional Relations Secretariat, Gleisi Hoffmann. The initiative was designed as an informal moment of rapprochement between the government after a year marked by turmoil between the Executive and Legislative branches.
