A video published by Dan Scavino, director of the Presidential Personnel Office, has revealed details of military exercises conducted in the United States that simulated the arrest of Venezuela’s president, Nicolás Maduro.
The recordings were originally published on 10 June 2025 and shared again on 6 January, which again created a lot of attention in social media.

The scenes show a high-intensity training scenario carried out by elite American units, with coordinated air and ground operations in a simulated urban environment. The exercises took place in the summer of 2025, during the period when then-President Donald Trump visited the US Army base Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

Fort Bragg huser United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) as well as internationally recognized special forces units, including the so-called Delta Force, officially known as the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (CAG).
During one of the demonstrations that Trump observed, two sat MH-47G Chinook-helicopters into special forces on the roof of a building that was defended by extras armed with Kalashnikov– rifles. The operation was supported by air cover from AH-64 Apache-attack helicopters, which ensured safety during the deployment.
The exercise also included ground support, where a special forces team operated three Ground Mobility Vehicle (GMV) vehicles. These vehicles are modified versions of the HMMWV (Humvee), specially adapted to missions for US special operations forces, and offer increased mobility, firepower and flexibility in hostile environments.
The publication of the video has revived the debate about the use of demonstrative military exercises as a tool for strategic communication and political signaling, particularly when linked to scenarios simulating the arrest of foreign leaders.
