Four batches of panettone from the company D’Viez Indústria e Comércio de Chocolates Finos Ltda were recalled by Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) this Tuesday (6). The agency also prohibited the sale, distribution and consumption of the products.
The manufacturer itself reported the appearance of fungi in the panettone, which has an expiration date of February 27, and announced the voluntary recall. Affected batches:
⦁ Mini Panettone with Traditional Truffle Chocolate Drops 140g (lot: 251027)
⦁ Our Truffled Tongue Panettone with “Cat’s Tongue Shaped” Chocolates – 700g (lot: 251027)

⦁ Traditional Truffled Fruit Panettone – 700g (lot: 251027)
The measure also affected food products from the company Coguvita II Alimentos Ltda, which will also be recalled. According to the agency, they are products made with Lion’s Mane mushrooms, often attributed to neuroprotective properties, and Cordyceps, a fungus famous for being used in the plot of the video game The Last of Us.
Anvisa states that both require a safety assessment for use in food, and that their disclosure is carried out irregularly, claiming cognitive and immunity benefits without scientific proof. The affected products are listed below:
