Lewandowski, presented his request for dismissal from office to the President of the Republic, with effect from January 9, 2026. The decision, according to him, was motivated by personal and family reasons.
In a letter sent to the Chief Executive, Lewandowski stated that he performed his role with zeal and dignity, highlighting his own commitment and that of his team to ensure the best possible performance at the head of the department, despite the political, cyclical and budgetary limitations faced throughout the period.
