With just one week remaining until the 2026 Tony Awards nominations are announced, Broadway’s best are stepping out to support the community.

Chess’ Lea Michele, Ragtime‘s Caissie Levy, and BeachesJessica Vosk – three frontrunners for Best Actress in a Musical this year – walked the carpet at the 2026 MisCast event on Monday (April 27) at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

The event features Broadway talent performing songs that are assigned to characters in musicals that they could never play. Lea sang “Don Quixote” from Man of La Mancha, Caissie performed “What Do I Need with Love?” from Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Jessica sang “I’ll Cover You (Reprise)” from Rent.

More Broadway stars in attendance at the event included Lea‘s Chess co-star Nicholas Christopher, Caissie‘s Ragtime co-star Brandon Uranowitz, The Lost Boys actors LJ Benet, Ali Louis Bourzgui, and Maria Wirries, Schmigadoon stars Alex Brightman, Sara Chase, Ana Gasteyer, Max Clayton, and Maulik Pancholy, as well as Two StrangersSam Tutty, The Fear of 13‘s Adrien Brody, Oh Mary‘s Jane Krakowski, Proof‘s Don Cheadle, Rocky Horror‘s Michaela Jae Rodriguez, Patrick Wilson, Ruthie Ann Miles, and more.
