Trump announces 10% tariff on exports from countries that do not support purchases from Greenland from February

by Syndicated News

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced a 10% tariff on all goods sent to the USA, starting on February 1st for countries that do not support the North American country’s purchase of Greenland. The measure will affect the following countries: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Finland.

From July 1st, the tariff will rise to 25% until an agreement is reached “for the complete and total purchase of Greenland”, as Trump stated this Saturday morning (17) on the social network Truth Social.

According to the president, the United States “has been trying to carry out this transaction for more than 150 years” and that many presidents have failed.

“Due to the Golden Dome and modern weapons systems, both offensive and defensive, the need to acquire Greenland is especially important,” Trump added in the post.
