Actor Will Smith is being sued by professional violinist Brian King Joseph, who filed a lawsuit this Tuesday (30) in Los Angeles, against Smith and his company “Treyball Studios Management”, Inc.
The lawsuit reports a series of events in March 2025, during the “Based on a True Story: 2025” world tour. According to Joseph, Smith had “deliberately groomed and conditioned” King the violinist for alleged sexual exploitation after inviting him to be part of the tour in November 2024.
Furthermore, he claims to have found evidence that someone entered his hotel room in Las Vegas without signs of forced entry.
Among the elements considered a “sexual threat of violence” would be a bottle of HIV medication with another person’s name on it, baby wipes, a bottle of beer, as well as a handwritten note with the phrase “Brian, I’ll be back…just us” and other items.
After reporting the episode to Will’s management team, Joseph was reportedly reprimanded by tour production and informed that he was being fired. The violinist claims that another person was hired to fill his position and that the situation caused him financial loss, severe emotional distress, reputational damage and mental health problems, including post-traumatic stress disorder.
