A new fixed ICMS rate came into force this Thursday (01), which increases the price charged per liter of fuel throughout Brazil.
The National Federation of Fuel and Lubricant Commerce said that “given the relevance of raw materials, the tendency is for there to be an impact on the entire economy”, when communicating about the tax update approved by the National Council for Financial Policy.
Gasoline will have an adjustment of R$0.10 per liter, an increase of 6.8%. Diesel and biodiesel will have an increase of R$0.05 per liter and an increase of 4.4%.
