Russia and North Korea are allies and have strengthened relations in recent yearslargely due to the war in Ukraine. North Korean President Kim Jong-un provided troops and weapons to help Putin in the conflict and, in return, provided the North Koreans with technical knowledge about nuclear and military technology.
