Oscar statuette lost by airline reappears in Frankfurt after confusion in the US

German airline Lufthansa announced this Friday (1st) that it had located an Oscar statuette belonging to Russian director Pavel Talankine, lost during a flight between New York and Frankfurt. Talankine, who won the award in March for his documentary “Mr. Nobody Against Putin” (2025, “Um Zé Nobody Contra Putin”, in the Brazilian version), was forced to deliver his prize in the hold of the aircraft at JFK airport, on Wednesday (29).
