Supriya Ganesh is speaking out for the first time following news of her shocking exit from The Pitt.
A few weeks ago, it was announced that the 28-year-old actress, who plays Dr. Samira Mohan on the HBO Max medical drama series, will be leaving the show at the end of season two. Her exit was described as a “story-driven decision.”
In a new interview with JoySauce published on Thursday (April 16), Supriya addressed her exit and shared where she saw Dr. Mohan ending up in the future.

“It’s been really interesting thinking about how different her experience of the ER might have been if she had a different attending,” she continued, seemingly addressing the tension Dr. Mohan has been having with Noah Wyle‘s Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch in season two.
After it was announced that Surpriya was leaving The Pitt, the show faced intense backlash as Dr. Mohan is a fan-favorite character. In a recent interview, Noah explained the decision behind Surpriya‘s exit.
The Pitt season 2 finale airs TONIGHT (Thursday, April 16) at 9pm ET on HBO and will be available for streaming on HBO Max.
