Everybody Loves Raymond‘s Patricia Heaton is speaking out about what happened at the 2026 White House Correspondents Dinner over the weekend.
If you did not see, Donald Trump and high ranking officials were rushed out after gunfire erupted.
So, where does Patricia Heaton come in? On Sunday (April 26), she posted on X (formerly called Twitter) to make a plea to her “friends on the left.” The post is now viral with over 2 million impressions, many calling her out.

She posted, “I wasn’t happy when Clinton, Obama or Biden won, but I didn’t call them fascist/dangerous/threat to democracy. I didn’t hope someone would assassinate them. I went on with my life with gratitude. Friends on the left, please try this. Your life and our country will be better.”
One commenter wrote in response, “Your side spent 8 yrs calling the Clintons murderers, 8 yrs spewing racist Birther lies about Obama & incited a violent riot to overthrow the election Biden won and you have the unmitigated gaslighting gall to lecture others on political etiquette??? No one outside yr bonehead bubble is buying yr bullsh-t, Patty-Cakes.”
