Matt Rogers is sharing something scary that happened involving his boyfriend and vaping.
During the newest episode of his podcast Las Culturistas with Bowen Yang, Matt talked to his co-host and guest Lena Dunham about the dangers of vaping after his boyfriend, Fraser Olender, had a heart attack.
Fraser, known for Bravo’s Below Deck, is a former “vape artist,” and the couple had made their public debut at BravoCon with photos of them going viral on social media.

Matt recalled, “As that was happening, he had a heart attack in front of me.”
Fraser began experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath, along with being unable to “get comfortable.”
Matt said he remembered thinking it might be stress or anxiety, but found out later that he had the “equivalent of a heart attack.”
“And so I’m thinking, like, is this stress and anxiety? We find out much later after tests come in that essentially because of this poison that got in his lungs, he had what was the equivalent of a heart attack. And it was really bad,” he reflected.
Matt added that the oil from the vape cartridge “can basically leak into your lungs” and is like “poison.”
After the incident, Fraser was in the hospital for a week and announced on his Instagram that he had gotten “vape poisoning” or “Vaping-Associated Lung Injury.”
“I have never experienced fear or pain like it,” he said at the time.
