Maren Morris is opening up about her personal life.
After finalizing her divorce from Ryan Hurd in early 2024, the 36-year-old “The Middle” singer came out as bisexual.
In a new TikTok, Maren shared an update on her “bisexual journey,” which she described as “pretty short.”
“I briefly was seeing a woman and I was not looking for anything serious,” Maren began. “I feel like I’m at a point in my life right now where I don’t have that to give. I was very clear about that because I’m all about communication, and she was like, ‘Oh, totally. I’m down.’”

“I’m not kidding, within like, three weeks of this completely falling apart, it was lies, threats to my reputation and borderline extortion,” she recalled. “It was pretty f–ked up. And for that to be my first experience, it was just so depressing.”
She added that she’s “just really cool being alone” after the brief fling.
The singer also said that friends from the lesbian community told her that her experience was typical.
“‘You start seeing women and one is going to almost ruin your life,’” she recalled a friend telling. “‘We’ve all been there. You just have to push through.’”
“Is that a thing?” Maren asked as she laughed in disbelief.
In another recent TikTok, Maren shared how she’s pushing back against gender stereotypes while raising her son.
