Laura Dern joined The White Lotus for season four, and on paper, it might generally appear that she’s a new cast member.

If you don’t know, Laura‘s voice can be heard in a season two episode during a phone call scene between Dominic Di Grasso (Michael Imperioli) and his presumed ex-wife, played by Laura.
Fans of The White Lotus know that Mike White, the show’s creator, does bring characters in and out of the franchise.
So, will Laura be portraying Dominic Di Grasso’s ex wife in season four? We really aren’t sure, but Variety is reporting that Laura is set to play a “new character developed by series mastermind Mike White.” So, it would appear as if she’ll be playing someone new.
Laura is stepping in at the last minute, as filming for season four already started. She’s filling a void left by Helena Bonham Carter, who exited the show about a week into production.
