According to the late wrestling icon, Hulk signed up for TNA after giving “everything” to ex-wife Linda amid their divorce in 2009.

Realizing that he wasn’t physically prepared to re-enter the wrestling world, he then turned to medicine.

“I was taking 80-milligram fentanyls, two in the morning, stuffing them under my gums here … I had two 300mg patches of fentanyl on my legs and they gave me six 1500mg fentanyl lollipops to eat,” he revealed, via TMZ.

“I went to the pharmacy, he goes, ‘You should be dead. We have never seen a human being take this much fentanyl.’”

Per the DEA, fentanyl is “a potent synthetic opioid drug approved by the Food and Drug Administration for use as an analgesic (pain relief) and anesthetic. It is approximately 100 times more potent than morphine and 50 times more potent than heroin as an analgesic.”

Hulk also admitted he had to sleep in a chair, because he “couldn’t sleep in my bed,” per Fox Sports Radio.

“I had to sleep in a chair, and if I just twitched my finger like that, my whole back would spasm and torque,” he explained.

The official paperwork revealed Hulk died from acute myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. In addition, the paperwork showed he had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), a heart condition characterized by an irregular, often rapid heart rate.
