Criminal police officer known as ‘Bonitão’, former player security guard and parliamentary advisor, is arrested in the United States

Known as Bonitão, the criminal police officer had his name included in Interpol’s Red Diffusion and had been wanted since March, suspected of acting in an attempt to delay the extradition of an international drug trafficker. Operation Anomalia was developed within the scope of the Mission Redentor II Task Force, with the objective of complying with orders from the Federal Supreme Court (STF) against a criminal group that was involved in negotiating undue advantages and selling influence to favor the interests of an international drug trafficker. In a telephone interception, obtained with judicial authorization, delegate Fabrizio Romano says that Luciano maintained contact with the “man from Brasília” and received R$15,000 in advance with the promise of receiving R$150,000 paid by lawyer Patrícia if the extradition process was canceled. Gerel was arrested by Interpol in Rio de Janeiro, in 2021. Since then, he has been in the RJ prison system and has not been extradited.
