The Coyote vs Acme trailer is finally here!
It has been a long road for the animated/live-action movie to hit the big screen, having filmed in 2022 and over a year later, being scrapped by Warner Bros.
However, about a year ago, it was announced that the film was going to see the light of day after all when Ketchup Entertainment picked up the film after making a deal with Warner Bros.

Now, the trailer has been released ahead of it’s August theatrical release, and it pokes fun at the whole situation.
Towards the beginning of the trailer, after the Warner Bros logo is shown, it zooms in and says WB is “*A wholly owned subsidiary of The ACME Corporation.” Acme is, of course, the fictional corporation set in the Looney Toons universe, which is famously the company that manufactures products that backfire on Wile E Coyote.
Then, more than halfway through the trailer, a message that pops onto the screen says, “The movie ACME doesn’t want you to see,” referring to the movie being scrapped by WB.
At the end of the trailer, a voice says in a quick manner the way medication side effects are noted in commercials, “The ACME Corporation is releasing this film for accounting purposes only. We do not condone any of the storylines depicted.”
This last line about accounting purposes comes after Warner Bros scrapped a couple other movies (Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt) and received tax credits for.
Here’s a synopsis for Coyote vs Acme: After decades of being blown to bits by bombs, demolished by dynamite, mangled by magnets, battered by boulders, trampled by trains, tricked by tunnels, sprung by springs, steamrolled by steamrollers, maligned by misfires, bedeviled by bungees, rattled by rockets, backstabbed by bat suits, rocked by rocket skates, upended by unicycles, quaked by quake pills, rubberized by rogue bands, and hurled headlong off every cliff in the Southwest, Wile E. Coyote (Genius) finally fights back. Teaming up with billboard accident lawyer Kevin Avery (Will Forte), he takes on slick corporate counsel Buddy Crane (John Cena) and ACME, Inc., the profit-obsessed conglomerate behind every one of the Coyote’s chaotic catastrophes.
The movie also stars Lana Condor and Tone Bell.
Dave Green serves as director with the screenplay by Samy Burch, from a screen story by James Gunn & Jeremy Slater and Samy Burch.
Coyote vs Acme is set to hit theaters on August 28th through Ketchup Entertainment.
