This Sunday (11), the search for two missing children enters its eighth day in the rural area of Bacabal, a municipality located around 240 kilometers from São Luís, in Maranhão. The operation mobilizes a task force that continues working without interruption.
Brothers Allan Michael, aged 4, and Ágata Isabelle, aged 5, disappeared last Sunday after going out to play in a wooded area. According to family members, after that, they were not seen again.
In addition to the two children, their cousin, Wanderson Kauan, aged 8, was also there at the time of the disappearance. He was later found by a cart driver in a neighboring village, very weak, and remains under medical care.
When located, Wanderson reported that Allan Michael and Ágata Isabelle were a little further from the point where he was found, in a forested area close to the village.
To try to locate the children, the task force uses a helicopter, drones equipped with thermal cameras and sniffer dogs, expanding the search areas in the region.
