After capturing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro during the attack on Venezuelan territory, the United States now has another powerful Venezuelan figure in its sights to attack. Diosdado Cabello, Venezuela’s Chief of Police, would be the Americans’ new target in a possible new attack. Cabello is a former military officer considered the main executor of repression within Maduro’s government, exerting influence over the country’s military and civilian spy agencies.
The economist and columnist for BandNews TV, Paulo Rabello de Castro, spoke about the topic and also about Brazil’s stance in relation to the current situation. Rabello also spoke about the departure of the current Finance Minister, Fernando Haddad, from the department.
