The opposition in the National Congress reacted to President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva’s veto of the Dosimetry PL, carried out in full this Thursday (8).
Federal deputy Paulinho da Força (Solidariedade-SP) announced that he will work in the National Congress to overturn the veto on the project that reduces sentences for those convicted of the acts of January 8th.
Rapporteur of the proposal in the Chamber, the parliamentarian harshly criticized Planalto’s decision, claiming that the gesture represents an option for confrontation instead of dialogue. The leader of the Liberal Party in the Chamber of Deputies, Sóstenes Cavalcante, also criticized and stated that the veto will be overturned in the first session of this year’s National Congress.
He also stated that Lula’s decision is proof that the PT member hates the conservatives.
