White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is going viral for a quote she said before the 2026 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which ended up being canceled due to a gunman opening fire.

On the red carpet, while being interviewed by Fox News, the 28-year-old was asked what everyone could expect from Donald Trump‘s speech.

“It’ll be funny. It’ll be entertaining. There will be some shots fired tonight in the room. Everyone should tune in, it’s going to be really great,” Leavitt said in a clip, which was recorded before the shooting, that is now going viral.

After the shooting, Trump apparently wanted the event to continue, but the decision was made to cancel and reschedule.

If you did not see, the suspect has been identified.

One famed journalist was actually only a few feet away from the gunman and revealed what he saw.
