Marie Osmond shared a touching tribute to her late brother Alan Osmond earlier this week.
Alan sadly passed away at the age of 76 on Monday (April 20). A report shared that he died with his family by his side, including his wife Suzanne Pinegar. They had eight children together.
On Tuesday (April 21), Marie posted an Instagram carousel featuring photos of Alan and their other siblings: Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, and Jimmy, who comprised the 1970s band the Osmond Brothers.

In her post, she shared Alan‘s hopes for the afterlife.
“I know he’s happy. The last thing he said to me was, ‘I can’t wait to see brother Wayne, so we can be missionary companions together and start preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who never had the opportunity to hear his message of peace and hope in this life,’” Marie wrote.
She continued, “That’s my brother Alan!! I love you so very much and will miss you dearly.”
The “Meet Me in Montana” singer also reflected on what it was like growing up with so many brothers, calling Alan very “protective” of her and their relationship special as she was his only sister.
He became their band’s leader at the age of 12 and never complained. He loved doing it for his family, she said.
“Alan had so many incredible talents, from singing to performing to playing multiple instruments. He wrote hit records and albums, one of my favorites being the album The Plan,” Marie said.
She continued, “He produced TV shows, large events, and music videos, including my video, ‘No Stopping Your Heart.’ So when I decided to honor the original four Osmond Brothers and fly them [to] Hawaii to perform together one last time, Alan tearfully said, ‘So you’re producing me now.’ ”
“He hugged me and said, ‘Thank you, I get to be on stage one last time with my brothers.’ ” Marie shared. “The determination he manifested to stand up out of his wheelchair and be next to his brothers was simply unbelievable!!!”
