Elizabeth Banks is heading to Apple TV!
On Thursday (April 23), it was announced that the 52-year-old Emmy-nominated actress will be starring in a new comedy series about retirement community sex dates from writers Liz Heldens and Matt Ward for the streaming service.
Keep reading to find out more…Here’s the synopsis per Variety: “Fresh off a messy divorce, Heidi (Banks) sets out to secure a lively second act for herself and her kids. But when she stumbles into coordinating her father’s retirement community sex dates, Heidi is forced into an unlikely alliance with his girlfriend’s perpetually single son.”
As of right now, the comedy series doesn’t have an official title.
Along with starring in the series, Elizabeth will executive produce along with Max Handelman and Krissy Wall via Brownstone Productions.
The series is scheduled to shoot in Los Angeles later this year.
Elizabeth currently stars alongside Matthew Macfadyen in the Peacock dramedy series The Miniature Wife, which follows Matthew‘s character Les after a technological accident causes him to accidentally shrink his wife Lindy (Elizabeth) to six inches tall. Watch the trailer here!
