“Please be aware that I do not participate in any form of social media,” she told People in a statement at the time, condemning “any accounts pretending to be me or anyone associated with me.”
As for why she was initially hesitant to join social media? “Oh god, I would have one glass of rosé,” she told InStyle in 2018, for Business Insider“and be spouting off like [slurs voice]’This is not the truth!'”
However, Sandra noted that she’s “not ignorant of what’s happening out there.” As she explained, “I look over people’s shoulders, going, ‘What is that little vignette of a cat on a fan?’ I’m just lazy.”
And Sandra did forecast her future—now present—antics at the time.
“I’m going to get on it and troll my friends,” she added. “Once my kids are using it, I’ll know how to navigate it. I don’t want to be naïve.”
