The Italian Army is carrying out operational tests of the robotic transport system Wild Goose to support infantry mobility in rough terrain.

According to the website’s report Defence Blogthe tests are being carried out by the 187th Parachute Regiment “Thunderbolt” from the Italian Army. This phase focuses on evaluating the system’s performance in supporting infantry operations in complex terrain.

Developed by Marom Dolphina platform Wild Goose is an electrically powered Infantry Modular Robotic System (IMRS) configured as a tactical transporter capable of transporting cargo, equipment and personnel.

Its modular design allows for various configurations depending on mission requirements, including variants intended for logistical transport and casualty evacuation if necessary.

By shifting the logistical burden to unmanned ground systems, infantry units can move faster, maintain endurance, and operate more effectively in challenging terrain.
