Amanda Seyfried teamed up with the plastics in a whole new way.
The Testament of Ann Lee star revealed that she wore a “prosthetic butthole” while filming a nude scene for the 2025 Mona Fastvoid-directed movie.
“This movie, it needed to be graphic,” Amanda said of the scene’s tone during a Feb. 25 appearance on BBC Radio 2. “So, like, I had a prosthetic butthole.”
And the 40-year-old—whose titular character becomes the revered founder of a religious group called The Shakers in the critically acclaimed drama—also divulged that she wore a merkin, or pubic wig, for the nude shoot, which occurs in the story’s final act.
For Amanda, the additional coverage on her body made her experience feel “cool” and “exciting” on set.
“I was pregnant and naked, but I wasn’t naked at all,” she continued, “and at the end of the movie, I’m standing in front of a burning building with just a merkin. I felt so free.”
