by Marcelo Moreira

Bad Bunny has been labelled by those on the American right as “un-American” and “shameful” – criticised for everything from his outspoken stance against ICE to his insistence on singing in Spanish.

Yet as Jen Ortizthe deputy editor of the Cut, explains, for the millions watching – and particularly for Puerto Ricans – Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance will be a landmark cultural moment.

Who is Bad Bunny exactly, asks Nosheen Iqbaland how did he become the biggest male artist in the world?
