INSS CPMI wants breach of Banco Master’s fiscal secrecy

by Marcelo Moreira

The Joint Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPMI) of the National Social Security Institute (INSS) is expected to vote this Thursday (5) on a series of requests, including requests for breach of banking and tax secrecy related to Banco Master.

Parliamentarians request information about accounts, investments, assets, rights and values held in financial institutions. According to CPMI members, more than 250,000 loan contracts linked to the bank show signs of irregularities.

The examination of the cell phones of banker Daniel Vorcaro and others involved may determine whether the case will continue at the Federal Supreme Court (STF) or go to the first instance. There were more than 100 contacts from authorities on the Master owner’s device alone.
