The São Paulo police are investigating the death of an elderly man during a flood in the North Zone of the capital of São Paulo. The episode occurred on Sunday afternoon (25) and the incident was registered as an accidental death.
According to reports, Romeu Maccione Neto, 75 years old, tried to remove his car from the street during the storm, when he noticed signs of flooding. He ended up losing his balance and was dragged by the current, getting stuck in the wheel of another vehicle that was parked in the area.
Fire Department teams were called, but when they arrived at the scene, the elderly man had already died from drowning.
