A survey carried out by an organization of public employees in the United States revealed that DOGE, Department of Government Efficiency, which was commanded by Elon Musk during the first months of the Trump administration, spent 10 billion dollars on furloughing more than 154,000 federal employees under paid leave, almost 7% of the country’s civil service.
