Brazilian nanny helped kill ex-boss so that boss could have a lover in the USA; understand the case

by Syndicated News

Former Brazilian nanny Juliana Peres Magalhães, accused of having participated in the death of her boss in the United States, testified against her former boss and his lover in court, after more than a year without talking about the crime.

Juliana stated that she and her ex-boss created an account in the name of Christine Banfield, the boss, on a social network aimed at people interested in sexual fetishes. Through this profile, a man named Ryan got in touch, and users arranged to meet at the couple’s home.

Then the two shot him and staged the scene to make it look like Ryan was a predator who had stabbed the woman. In the statement, the nanny described Banfield’s plan to kill his wife and spend the rest of his life with his lover, with whom he had an extramarital affair.

The Brazilian former nanny was initially charged with second-degree murder in Ryan’s death, but later pleaded guilty to manslaughter after the charge was downgraded.

The boss now faces a trial for the aggravated murder of his wife and Ryan, and Magalhães’ testimony has become a key component of the prosecution. He could be sentenced to life in prison if found guilty.
