The recommendation highlights that leaving the country should happen immediately and by land.
The warning comes after the announcement of 25% tariffs, announced by Trump on Monday (12), on any country that does business with Iran. Brazil appears on Tehran’s list of partners and could be directly affected by the American measure.
Some human rights observers point out that the historic protests in Iran against the ayatollahs’ regime have left more than 600 people dead and thousands arrested.
This Monday, the NGO Iran Human Rights (IHRNGO), based in the USA, raised to 648 the number of protesters killed during the protests that began two weeks ago and the number of those detained, who are at risk of being executed by the authorities, to almost 10,000.
Since 1979, the year the Ayatollah regime took power, the US and Iran have not had diplomatic ties. However, Washington maintains a virtual embassy to communicate with American citizens in the Persian country.
