Six people died in a series of shootings recorded in Clay County, Mississippi, United States, in the early hours of Saturday (10). One person was arrested on suspicion of the crime, according to police.
In a Facebook post, the sheriff, Eddie Scott, declared that “several innocent lives” were lost “due to the violence” reported in the city of West Point, located near the border with Alabama.
According to authorities, the attacks took place in three different points in Mississippi, information that was confirmed by the sheriff himself in an interview with ABC News.
According to the police officer, “the individual is in custody and no longer poses a threat to our community,” he also stated on social media.
