Federal Supreme Court (STF) minister Alexandre de Moraes denied a request from former president Jair Bolsonaro’s defense to authorize his father-in-law’s visit to the DF Star Hospital, in Brasília, where Bolsonaro is hospitalized. The decision was announced this Wednesday.
Jair Bolsonaro underwent inguinal hernia surgery on Christmas Day, in addition to medical procedures to alleviate persistent bouts of hiccups. Since then, he has remained hospitalized under the supervision of the medical team.
This Wednesday, the former president also underwent an upper digestive endoscopy to evaluate gastroesophageal reflux. According to information confirmed by doctor Cláudio Birolini to BandNews TV, the team’s expectation is that Bolsonaro will be discharged this Thursday (01), after around a week of hospitalization.
