The United States has signed a contract worth up to $8.58 billion with Boeing to develop and produce new F-15IA fighter jets for the Israeli Air Force.

Under the Foreign Military Sales program, the agreement initially includes the delivery of 25 aircraft, with an option for an additional 25 units. Production will take place primarily in St. Louis through the end of 2035.

The contract covers all phases of the program, including design, systems integration, testing, production and delivery of the aircraft. At the time of award, $840 million had already been awarded under the administration of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. The agreement was implemented without competition, highlighting the strategic nature of US-Israel military cooperation.

Specially developed to meet Israel’s operational needs, the F-15IA is expected to feature advanced avionics, sensors, weapons systems and customized electronic warfare capabilities. The new program ensures continuity of the F-15 production line and allows Israel to replace older aircraft while maintaining long-range capability and high payload, along with its fleet of modernized F-35I and F-16 aircraft.
