Mel Gibson and Rosalind Ross are parting ways.
The Braveheart star and his girlfriend—who share 8-year-old son Lars—announced they broke up in 2024 after nine years together.
“Although it’s sad to end this chapter in our lives,” the couple told People in a Dec. 30 statement, “we are blessed with a beautiful son and will continue to be the best parents possible.”
Mel—who also shares Hannah Brobst45, Christian Gibson43, Edward Gibson43, William Gibson39, Louie Gibson36, Milo Gibson35, and Thomas Gibson26, with ex-wife Robyn Mooreas well as Lucia Gibson26, with ex Oksana Grigorieva—and Rosalind’s announcement comes nearly one year after their Malibu home burned down during the Los Angeles wildfires.
While he was recording an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rosalind and Lars were home and quickly evacuated after the fire erupted in the neighborhood. Although he said their home was “perfectly burned,” the family and their chickens were safe.
