President Lula ordered the immediate opening of an administrative proceeding to investigate the conduct of a civil servant from the Comptroller General of the Union (CGU) involved in attacks against his ex-girlfriend and her four-year-old son in the Federal District.
The determination was forwarded to Minister Vinícius Marques de Carvalho, head of the CGU. For the president, the episode is unacceptable and requires a rigorous response from the State, as it involves a federal public official.
The case happened on the night of December 7, in Águas Claras, and was recorded by security cameras in the building where the victim lives. The images are part of the investigation conducted by the Civil Police.
The suspect was identified as David Cosac Junior, 49, a systems analyst at CGU. So far, the Civil Police have not reported whether he was arrested.
