Olivia Wilde isn’t worrying about her viral red carpet appearance, darling.
The Don’t Worry Darling star addressed criticism of her appearance after a video circulated online of her at the San Francisco International Film Festival April 24.
As her brother Charles Cockburn asked in a video shared to her Instagram Stories May 3, “Olivia Wilde, do you care to address recent rumors that you’re a resurrected corpse?”
Editing a photo of Olivia from the now-viral SFGATE interview during the event—where she donned a drop-waist black skirt and white T-shirt—next to a snap of Gollum from The Lord of the Ringsthe Tron: Legacy actress reacted to what online users perceived as her slimmed down look.
“Listen, that is a fisheye lens,” Olivia explained of her altered appearance. “And I admit, is that my best angle? Was that my best ever look? No, it’s a startling image.”
“I don’t know why I was so close to the camera,” she continued with a giggle. “I didn’t have to be. That’s not the truth.”
Further driving her point home, the 42-year-old quipped, “I’m not dead.”
She also poked fun at her brother’s line of questioning, writing onscreen, “Leave it to your little brother to give you the maximum amount of s–t.”
