According to local press, the son fell onto the tracks after slipping from his parents’ lap as they were disembarking from a train. The father immediately jumped to save the child, however, there was no time to return to the platform in time, and he had to cower with the child while another eight-car locomotive passed over them. Several other people who were on the platform jumped onto the track shortly after the train passed to help the two. A woman who appears to be the mother quickly picks up the child and begins to hug her. According to local media, local authorities attributed the fact that father and son emerged unharmed from the incident to “Allah’s mercy” and reiterated the importance of being careful when disembarking the train.
