“Many family members claim the innocence of some detainees and expect independent, impartial and objective justice. Many people have been imprisoned for four years or more, waiting for this moment, their day of trial, and should have the opportunity to learn about the evidence against them, to be able to question them, challenge them and prove their innocence; and mass trials make it difficult to fully exercise these rights”, he explains.
