In a press conference held on Thursday, the mayor of the Hauts-de-Seine department, in the west of Paris, Alexandre Brugère, warned, on behalf of the city hall, that this was a “risky” operation, which required a “high level of preparation in an extremely short period of time”. According to him, residents must wait until 7pm at the latest to receive a text message authorizing them to return to their homes.
