Britney Spears’ Ex Kevin Federline Reacts to Her Seeking Treatment After DUI Arrest
Britney Spears‘ ex-husband Kevin Federline is hoping for a stronger future.
After the “Toxic” singer voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility, Kevin’s attorney shared insight into how the dancer—who shares sons Sean Preston20, and Jayden James19, with Britney—is feeling about this current chapter.
“Kevin is aware of the reports that she has checked into rehab,” his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan told TMZ in a statement published April 13, “and that if she needs help, he is happy that she is getting help and that the decision appears to be one that she made and not one imposed upon her by others if it was.”
He added, “The key is that whatever the recommended treatment plan is that she follows it and completes it.”
News of Britney’s treatment came one month after she was arrested for driving under the influence in California.
Following her release from police custody, a rep for the Grammy winner told E! News, “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.”
