The circle of trust is about to expand. The upcoming fourth installment in the beloved comedy franchise Meet the Parents has been officially titled Focker In‑Law and is set to reunite several original cast members.
Previously, original star Ben Stiller avoided divulging too many details about the next installment. During a January 2025 interview with Entertainment Tonightthe actor and Severance director said, “I think everybody wants to make it happen.” He even added about his character, “Maybe Greg has a couple of kids, and maybe one of them is getting married.”

What Is Meet the Parents About?
Gaylord “Greg” Focker (played by Ben), a nurse living in Chicago, is about to meet his girlfriend Pam Byrnes’ (Teri Polo) family before proposing to her. But after meeting her dad, the overbearing ex-CIA agent Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro), Greg learns what he might be getting into.
Upon arriving at the Brynes’ family home, Greg plans on asking for Jack’s permission to marry Pam, but bad luck and chaos erupt in almost every move that Greg makes around Jack.
The hit comedy was so successful when it came out in 2000 that it led to two sequels: Meet the Fockers and Little Fockers.
When Does Focker In‑Law Come Out?
Focker‑In‑Law is set to hit theaters on November 25, 2026, just in time for Thanksgiving weekend.
Focker In‑Law Cast
Fortunately for longtime fans, several original cast members are returning for the fourth film. Ben Stiller will reprise his role as Greg Focker, and Robert De Niro is back as Jack Byrnes. Teri Polo returns as Pam Focker, while Blythe Danner is once again playing Dina Byrnes.
Joining the cast is Ariana Grandewho will play the fiancée of Greg and Pam’s grown-up son, introducing a new generation to the chaos of the Focker-Byrnes dynamic.
John Hamburgwho co-wrote the previous Meet the Parents films, directed Focker-In-Lawmarking his return to the franchise.
What Will Focker In‑Law Be About?
While a full plot synopsis hasn’t been released, Focker‑In‑Law is expected to follow Greg and Pam’s now-grown son as he prepares to get married. De Niro revealed he had gone through the script, calling it “really fun” but keeping quiet about the storyline.
According to its tagline, the film follows “a young man named Henry, son of Greg and Pam Focker, [who] faces family chaos when he decides to marry a strong-willed woman who appears to be his complete mismatch.”
In the trailer, the premise seems to unfurl as Stiller’s character and Grande’s character go head-to-head.
