Florence + The Machine was scheduled to perform a concert in Philadelphia on April 25, but the NHL Playoffs have forced the band to abandon the planned venue and perform in a completely different city.
The band, led by Florence Welch, was supposed to perform at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philly as part of the Everybody Scream Tour.
Now, the show is going to be performed at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The new venue is over an hour away by car, depending on traffic.
Fans who had tickets to the Philly show will have their tickets automatically refunded and they are being given the first chance to rebuy tickets for the new show.

“Dear Philadelphia ticket holders: Due to the NHL playoffs, the Florence + The Machine show scheduled for Saturday, April 25 at Xfinity Mobile Arena will now be relocated to Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall Arena in Atlantic City, N.J.,” a statement from the band began.
They continued, “No action is required to obtain a refund for your original tickets. Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment. Ticket holders will be notified with purchase instructions for the new show. There will be a 24 hour window for Xfinity Mobile Arena ticket holders to buy tickets for the show at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall Arena before these tickets go on sale to the public. Access to the priority presale is tied to your Ticketmaster account; no additional code is needed.”
“We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Unfortunately this decision is beyond our control and after exploring many alternative scnearios, this became the only workable solution that would allow us to not cancel the show. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding,” the band concluded.
