A live action Elden Ring movie has been confirmed, and it’s currently in production!
Alex Garland is set to write and direct the upcoming film for A24 and Bandai Namco Entertainment. He’s best known for films like Ex Machina, Civil War, and the recent film Warfare.
The film will be shot in IMAX and has a release date of March 3, 2028. If you don’t know, Elden Ring is a fan favorite fantasy video game. It has sold over 30 million copies worldwide and it has also won over 400 Game of the Year awards since its release in 2022.

The cast list includes Kit Connor, who worked with Alex on Warfare, plus Ben Whishaw, Cailee Spaeny and Nick Offerman, THR reports.
Also set to star are Tom Burke, Havana Rose Liu, Sonoya Mizuno, Jonathan Pryce, Ruby Cruz, John Hodgkinson, Jefferson Hall, Emma Laird and Peter Serafinowicz.
Sources told THR that the principal photography will last for 100 days, and the budget for the highly anticipated film is over $100 million.
