Chernobyl, 40 years old: images of the ‘ghost town’ affected by the nuclear tragedy

The affected cities, especially Pripyat, today in Ukraine, were evacuated and remain abandoned to this day.. Images from the scene reveal vehicles left on the side of the streets, as well as toys, appliances, crockery and signs scattered across empty buildings.. The records continue to circulate and draw attention due to their “ghost town” appearance.
