Meghan Trainor, Mandy Moore Speak Out Amid Ashley Tisdale’s “Toxic” Mom Group Debacle
Meghan Trainor is takin’ it back to some recent drama.
Three months after Ashley Tisdale detailed her decision to exit a “toxic” celebrity mom group in a personal essay, the “All About That Bass” singer shared insight into their private conversation in its aftermath.
“I texted all of them,” Meghan—whose friendship with Ashley, as well as fellow moms Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore had been documented online—told Us Weekly in an interview published April 15. “Ashley texted me like, ‘I’m sorry, your name got dragged in.'”
She added, “I was like, ‘It’s all right, girl. The world’s a silly, crazy place, and they just want something to talk about.'”
Meghan also said she “felt bad” for Ashley after reading her essay in The Cutin which the High School Musical alum detailed how she exited the group after being repeatedly left out of social gatherings.
“I felt bad that she was ever that sad, and I think it was just a lot of miscommunication and confusion,” the 32-year-old—mom to kids Riley5, and Barry2, with husband Daryl Sabara—added. “I don’t know what happened, but I wish them all the best.”
